Never there was a sweeter dog. Thor is the best dog I've ever met. He is kind and compassionate. He loves Pia, pictured here. And took wonderful care of his son Winston as he recovered from Parvo. 

I am grateful a few friends have reached out to see how they can help bring Thor home. 

A new acquaintance of mine is flying back from Senegal next week and can bring Thor with her on her flight back to Paris. However the board and vet bills, along with his flight must be paid before he can leave. The deadline to get this done is May 22 so there is time ahead of the flight to get all the paperwork in order.
 
I thank all of you who would like to participate in this rather urgent fundraiser. It's clear to me he will not come home without your support.

THOR'S STORY Thor was born in France and came to Senegal when he was just a puppy to be Pia's partner after my daughter had settled there. Never had I witnessed two dogs so bonded and close. Thor always tended lovingly to Pia, usually licking and kissing her ears. They would often nap together and enjoyed being in each other's company.  Pia and Thor had four puppies --  all boys.   Winston-Balou, Mambo, Vigo, and Poa. A friend took the two black eared ones, Mambo and Poa, and Vigo and Winston-Balou stayed with us.   Both got Parvo at 9 weeks and Vigo died in under 48 hours. Winston-Balou was very ill, and nearly died a few times. He had to be hospitalized and struggled mightily to recover his health. During that time, Thor took great care of him.
